What is it prescribed for?

Angina pectoris
This medicine is used for the prevention and treatment of angina (chest pain) caused due to reduced flow of blood and oxygen to the heart. It is not effective in treating chest pain that has already set in.
When not to use?

Allergy
This medicine is not recommended for use if you have a known history of allergy to SAVDIL 40mg CapsuleSR 20s -5-mononitrate or any other inactive ingredient present in the formulation.

Anemia
This medicine is not recommended for use if you have anemia or low levels of hemoglobin in the blood due to the increased risk of worsening the patient's condition.

Obstructive heart disease
This medicine is not recommended for use if you have a condition where the blood vessels in the heart have blockage due to swelling or narrowing.

Head trauma/ Increased intracranial pressure
