• Allergy

  This medicine is not recommended for use if you have a known history of allergy to SHIRODEX 0.5mg Tablet 20x20s or any other inactive ingredients present in the formulation.

• Systemic Fungal Infection

  This medicine is not recommended for use in patients suffering from systemic fungal infections due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient's condition.

• Cerebral malaria

  This medicine is not recommended for use if you are suffering from a rare type of malaria that affects the brain.

• Active untreated infection

  This medicine is not recommended for use in patients suffering from any serious infection and is yet to receive any treatment for the same.

• Pregnancy

  This medicine is not recommended for use in pregnant women unless necessary. All the risks and benefits should be discussed with the doctor before taking this medicine.

• Breast-feeding

  This medicine is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women unless necessary. All the risks and benefits should be discussed with the doctor before taking this medicine.

• Other medicines

  This medicine may interact with many other medicines and may cause adverse effects. Hence, it is advised that you inform the doctor about all your current medicines including any herbs and supplements before beginning treatment with this medicine.

• Other diseases

  This medicine should be used with caution if the patient is suffering from diseases like cirrhosis, diverticulitis, myasthenia gravis, peptic ulcer disease, kidney diseases etc. Report the instance of other diseases as well before treatment with this medicine is initiated.

• Withdrawal symptoms

  Use of this medicine should not be abruptly stopped as the patient is likely to suffer from withdrawal symptoms. The use should be slowly and gradually withdrawn.

• Growth retardation

  This medicine may cause growth retardation in some children. Therefore, children receiving this medicine should be monitored closely with regard to growth parameters. The dose should be titrated to the minimum effective dose to reduce the chances of such side effects. Replacement with a suitable alternative may be necessary in some cases based on the clinical condition.

• Infections

  This medicine should be used with caution in patients who are at risk of developing infections since it suppresses the immune system and further increases the risk of infections. Any symptoms such as a sore throat, fever, chills, etc. should be reported to the doctor immediately. Appropriate corrective measures, dose adjustments, or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required based on the clinical condition of the patient.

• Impaired kidney function

  This medicine should be used with extreme caution in patients with a known history of kidney dysfunction due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient's condition. Close monitoring of kidney function tests is necessary while receiving this medicine. Appropriate dose adjustments or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required based on the clinical condition.

• Impaired liver function

  This medicine should be used with extreme caution in patients with a known history of liver dysfunction due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient's condition. Close monitoring of liver function tests is necessary while receiving this medicine. Appropriate dose adjustments or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required based on the clinical condition.

Take this medicine exactly as advised by your doctor. Do not take in larger amounts than advised/prescribed. Consult the doctor if you experience any undesirable effects. Do not stop taking the medicine before completion of the course/without consulting your doctor.
