How to use Tarivid tablet 200 mg 10’s

IV: Administer over at least 60 min. Infuse separately. Do not infuse though lines containing solutions with magnesium or calcium.
Compatibility: D5LR, D5NS, D5W, mannitol 20%, NaCO3 5%, NS.

GI upset, skin reactions, CNS disturbances. Reports of hypersensitivity reactions, suicidal thoughts and behaviour, peripheral neuropathy, tendinitis, tendon rupture. Injection: pain at inj site, thrombophlebitis.

What happens if I miss a dose of Tarivid tablet 200 mg 10’s?

ORAL: Adults: Usually 200-400 mg once daily in morning or 400-800 mg daily as two divided dose at equal intervals for 5-10 days.
Lower Respiratory Infection: Adults: 400 mg twice daily for 10 days.
Urinary Tract Infection: Adults: Nongonococcal Cervicitis/Urethritis (C. trachomatis) or Mixed Infection of Urethra & Cervix (C. trachomatis & N. gonorrhoea): 300 mg every 12 hr for 7 days. Acute PID: 400 mg every 12 hr for 10-14 days.
Uncomplicated Cystitis: 200 mg every 12 hr for 3 days (E. coli or K. pneumoniae) or for 7 days (other pathogens).
Complicated UTI: 200 mg every 12 hr for 10 days. Prostatitis (E. coli): 300 mg every 12 hr for 6 wk.
Gonorrhoea: Adults: 400 mg as a single dose.
Skin and soft tissue infection: Adults: 400 mg twice daily for 10 days.
Children: Not recommended.
INJECTION: IV Infusion: Adults: Usually 200-800 mg daily by slow IV infusion over 30 min for 7-10 days.
Complicated UTI: Adults: 200 mg daily by slow IV infusion.
Lower Respiratory Tract Infection and Septicaemia: Adults: 200 mg twice daily by slow IV infusion.
Skin and soft tissue infections: Adults: 400 mg twice daily by slow IV infusion.
