IV: Infuse over 30 min. Administer 1 hour apart from aminoglycosides. Give around-the-clock. Note: Reconstituted soln is stable for 6 hours at room temperature & 72 hours when refrigerated. IV infusion in NS is stable for 24 hours at room temperature, 7 days when refrigerated, or 30 days when frozen. Darkening of solution indicates loss of potency of clavulanate potassium.

Hypersensitivity, GI upset. Rarely, hepatitis, cholestatic jaundice, haematological and CNS effects, hypokalaemia, pseudomembranous colitis.

What happens if I miss a dose of Ticaclav Infusion 3.2 gm 4 Vial?

Adults: 3.2 gm six to eight hourly by intermittent IV infusion. Max 3.2 gm four hourly. Children: Neonates, 80 mg/kg 12 hourly. Others, 80 mg/kg six to eight hourly. Child above 40 kg, adult dose. All by intermittent IV infusion.
Septicaemia: Adults: gt;60 kg: 300 mg/kg/day ticarcillin given every 4 hr. lt;60 kg: 200-300 mg/kg/day ticarcillin given every 4-6 hr. Children: gt;3 mth & lt;60 kg: 50 mg/kg/day ticarcillin given every 4 hr. gt;3 mth & lt;60 kg: 3.2 gm every 4 hr.
Bone infection: Adults: gt;60 kg: 300 mg/kg/day ticarcillin given every 4 hr. lt;60 kg: 200-300 mg/kg/day ticarcillin given every 4-6 hr. Children: gt;3 mth & lt;60 kg: 50 mg/kg/day ticarcillin given every 4-6 hr. gt;3 mth & lt;60 kg: 3.2 gm every 4-6 hr.
