    This medicine is used to break and dissolve stones of the gall bladder which are formed by cholesterol deposits. It is also used to prevent gall stone formation in some patients.

  • Primary biliary cirrhosis

    This medicine is used to treat the symptoms and slow the progression of this disease of the liver and the bile duct.

General Warnings
  • Type of gallstone

  • Liver impairment

    This medicine should be used with extreme caution in patients suffering from liver impairment. Close monitoring of liver function and bilirubin levels are necessary before starting the therapy and during the course of therapy with this medicine. It is not recommended for use in patients suffering from chronic liver diseases due to the risk of adverse effects.

  • Time taken for stone dissolution

    This medicine may take several months for dissolving the gall stone. Any complications experienced during this duration should be reported to the doctor. The likelihood of recurrence is very high if the therapy is discontinued.

  • Diarrhea

Dosage
