Food interactions
  • The desired effect of Vistamin tablet 10’s will not be achieved if it is taken together with multivitamins with minerals. It is recommended that you take this medicine before or after 2 hours of a dose of multivitamins with minerals. Report any undesired symptoms to the doctor on priority. Replacement with a suitable alternative might be required in some cases based on the clinical condition. Do not stop the use of any medicine without consulting your doctor. The desired effect of Vistamin tablet 10’s will not be achieved if it is taken together with food. It is recommended that you take this medicine 1 hour before or 2 hours after consumption of food for optimal effect. Do not consume this medicine with dairy products or any other medicines. Follow all the directions given by your doctor. Do not stop the use of any medicine without consulting your doctor.

what are the adverse effects of Vistamin tablet 10’s?

Nausea, anorexia, fever, rash, thrombocytopenia (withdraw), proteinuria. Reports of dysgeusia, haematuria (withdraw), leucopenia (withdraw), delayed rash, breast enlargement.

What happens if I miss a dose of Vistamin tablet 10’s?

Adults: Cystinuria: Treatment, 1-3 gm daily in divided doses before food, adjusted to maintain urinary cystine below 200 mg/L; Prophylaxis to maintain urinary cystine below 300 mg/L, 0.5-1gm at bedtime.
Wilson’s disease: 1.5 – 2 gm daily in divided doses before food; max 2 gm daily for 1 yr. Maintenance. 0.75-1 gm daily.
Lead poisoning: Hepatitis: Refer to SPC. Elderly: Wilson’s disease: 20 mg/kg daily in divided doses, minimum 500 mg daily. Children: Wilson’s disease: Up to 20 mg/kg daily in divided doses; minimum 500 mg daily. Elderly and Children: Cystinuria: Use minimum dose to maintain urinary cystine below 200 mg/L.
