Allergy

Aliskiren
Use of these medicines is not recommended in the elderly population with diabetes and kidney disease with CrCl less than 60 ml/min.

Hypotension
Symptomatic hypotension may occur in patients with volume depletion or those who treated with high dose diuretics. Correct the condition before starting Walmisar tablet 40 mg 10’s or start the treatment at reduced doses.

Hyperkalemia
Walmisar tablet 40 mg 10’s may cause Hyperkalemia (a condition with an increase in the potassium levels in the blood). Use with caution in patients with concomitant use of potassium-sparing diuretics or potassium supplements and in patients with impaired kidney function.

Impaired liver function
The elimination of Walmisar tablet 40 mg 10’s is reduced in liver disease. Start treatment at low doses and titrate slowly.

Pediatric population
The safety and efficacy of Walmisar tablet 40 mg 10’s has not been established in children and adolescents age below 18 years.

Missed Dose
The missed dose should be taken as soon possible. It is advisable to skip the missed dose if it is already time for your next scheduled dose. Do not double your dose to make up for the missed one.

Walmisar tablet 40 mg 10’s is used with caution in patients with congestive heart failure (especially in volume or sodium depletion). Transient hypotension is also not a contraindication for this medicine. It is usually reinstated when blood pressure reaches the normal value.

what are the adverse effects of Walmisar tablet 40 mg 10’s?
Upper respiratory tract infection, back pain, sinusitis, diarrhoea, pharyngitis. Influenza-like symptoms, pain, chest pain, lack of efficacy, fever, hyperkalaemia, syncope, hypotension, acute renal failure. Acute transient myopia, acute angle-closure glaucoma (discontinue).
What happens if I miss a dose of Walmisar tablet 40 mg 10’s?
Adults: 20-40 mg once daily. Max: 80 mg once daily. Children: Not recommended.
