What is it prescribed for?

• Peptic Ulcer

  WINSLET 30mg Capsule 2x10s is used for the treatment of ulcer of the food pipe, stomach, and small intestine.

• Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome

  WINSLET 30mg Capsule 2x10s is used to treat a condition where excessive amount of acid is produced in the stomach due to tumors in the small intestine.

• Acid related dyspepsia

  WINSLET 30mg Capsule 2x10s is used for the treatment of acid indigestion marked by severe heartburn in the stomach and chest.

• Gastroesophagal Reflux Disease

  WINSLET 30mg Capsule 2x10s is used in the treatment of a reflux disease where acid from the stomach and bile irritates the food pipe.

• Helicobacter pylori Infection

  WINSLET 30mg Capsule 2x10s is used to treat Helicobacter Pylori infection in combination with other medicines.

• Erosive Esophagitis

  WINSLET 30mg Capsule 2x10s is used in the treatment of severe ulcers caused by chronic acidity.

• Multiple endocrine adenomas

  WINSLET 30mg Capsule 2x10s is used for the relief of symptoms caused due to tumor in the endocrine system affecting stomach and intestine.

• Systemic mast cell disease

  WINSLET 30mg Capsule 2x10s is also used for relieving the symptoms of a condition where mast cells are abnormally high in certain specific sites in the stomach, intestine, and other parts of the body.

• Other forms of Ulcers

  WINSLET 30mg Capsule 2x10s is also used to prevent and treat ulcers in the stomach (Gastric) and small intestines (Duodenal) caused due to stress or pain medications.

When not to use?

• Diarrhea

  This medicine has with associated with an increased incidence of Clostridium difficile associated diarrhea in some patients. Consult your doctor if you experience diarrhea that does not improve over time.

• Liver disease

  Report any incidence of liver disease to the doctor. This medicine is not recommended for use if the impairment is severe. For mild to moderate impairment, this medicine can be given with suitable dose adjustment and safety monitoring.

• Immune system disorder

  Use of this medicine for durations longer than medically recommended can cause skin disorders by affecting the immune system. Report any incidence of skin lesions formation to the doctor while using this medicine.

• Risk of infection

  Use of this medicine increases the susceptibility to infections from bacteria.

• Bone fracture

  Use of high dose of WINSLET 30mg Capsule 2x10s for prolonged duration may increase the risk of bone fractures especially in older patients and women. Supplements like Calcium citrate and Vitamin D should be taken after consulting the doctor.

• Vitamin B12 deficiency

  Long-term treatment with WINSLET 30mg Capsule 2x10s may decrease the absorption of Vitamin B-12 in the body. Supplements can be taken after consulting the doctor.

• Kidney disease

  This medicine may cause mild kidney impairment. Caution should be exercised while administering this medicine to a patient suffering from impaired functioning of the kidney.

Take WINSLET 30mg Capsule 2x10s as instructed by the doctor. This medicine should be taken an hour before food preferably in the mornings. An adequate amount of water should be consumed with this medicine. Do not take this medicine for longer than the recommended duration.
