When not to use?

Leber's Disease
Xyster Injection 500 mcg 1 mLx10 Amp is not recommended for use in patients who have Leber's Disease, a rare genetic disorder.

Elderly
Few elderly patients may have a reduced capacity to absorb this medicine through the intestine. Appropriate dose adjustments and frequent clinical monitoring are necessary for such patients.

Other medicines

What happens if I miss a dose of Xyster Injection 500 mcg 1 mLx10 Amp?
ORAL: Adults: 500 mcg 3 times daily. Children: Not recommended.
INJECTION: Adults: Peripheral neuropathies: 1 amp by IM or IV inj three times a wk.
Megaloblastic anaemia: 1 amp by IM or IV inj three times a wk. After two mth 1 amp in a single administration at 1 to 3 mth intervals for maintenance therapy.
Children: Not recommended.
