Z.D 500mg Injection Per Vial is used in the treatment of septicemia which is an infection of the blood caused by Staphylococci and Streptococcus pyogenes.

Z.D 500mg Injection Per Vial is used in the treatment of intra-abdominal infections caused by Helicobacter pylori, Staphylococci, and Streptococci.

Avoid if you have a known allergy to Z.D 500mg Injection Per Vial or Beta-lactam Antibiotics like penicillins and cephalosporins. Seek immediate medical attention if the patient experiences any allergic symptoms like rash, itching, nausea, vomiting and swelling of lips, hands or feet.

Drug-resistance
Usage of Z.D 500mg Injection Per Vial without sufficient proof or suspicion of a bacterial infection should be avoided. Irrational dosing might fail in providing the benefits and even cause toxicity. It may also increase the risk of development of bacteria that is drug resistant.

Clostridium difficile-associated Diarrhea
Avoid if you experience severe diarrhea after receiving Z.D 500mg Injection Per Vial . As antibiotic therapy will cause an imbalance in the normal microbial flora in the large intestine which promotes the growth of bacteria called clostridium difficile.

Impaired kidney function
Use with caution if you have a preexisting kidney disease. Appropriate dose adjustments are to be made based of CrCl or eGFR.

Neurotoxicity
Z.D 500mg Injection Per Vial may increase the risk of serious adverse effects like encephalopathy, seizures, and nonconvulsive status epilepticus. These reactions may occur in the patient with impaired kidney function with no proper dose adjustment.

Missed Dose
The missed dose should be taken as soon possible. It is advisable to skip the missed dose if it's already time for your next scheduled dose.

Seek emergency medical treatment or contact the doctor in case of overdose.

The blood concentration of intravenous Z.D 500mg Injection Per Vial may increase in the patients suffering from any kidney disease. Suitable dose adjustments are to be made based on the severity of the condition. Frequent monitoring of kidney function tests is necessary.

Avoid if you experience severe diarrhea, abdominal pain, and blood in stools after taking Z.D 500mg Injection Per Vial . Inform the doctor if you have any gastrointestinal diseases. Drink adequate amount of water to prevent dehydration.
