Uses of ZECID 40mg Tablet 10s

What is it prescribed for?

• Duodenal Ulcer

  ZECID 40mg Tablet 10s is used in the treatment of ulcers in the small intestine.

• Gastric Ulcer

  ZECID 40mg Tablet 10s is used in the treatment of ulcers in the stomach.

• Gastroesophagal Reflux Disease

  ZECID 40mg Tablet 10s is used for the treatment of a condition where the acid produced in the stomach causes irritation in the food pipe.

• Hypersecretory Condition

  ZECID 40mg Tablet 10s is used to prevent and treat conditions where the amount of acid secreted in the stomach is abnormally high.

• Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome

  This medicine is used to treat a condition where an excessive amount of acid is produced in the stomach due to tumors in the small intestine.

• Dyspepsia

  This medicine relieves indigestion and sour stomach due to excess acid production in the stomach.

When not to use?

• Gastrointestinal bleeding

  This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with severe gastrointestinal bleeding since it may worsen the patient's condition. Replacement with a suitable alternative should be done under your doctor's supervision.

• Central nervous system adverse effects

  This medicine may cause central nervous system adverse effects such as agitation, confusion, hallucinations, seizures, disorientation, delirium, lethargy, etc., in some patients especially those with moderate to severe kidney impairment. Close monitoring of the clinical condition, appropriate dose adjustments, or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required in some cases based on the clinical condition.

• Use of nicotine

  The use of nicotine is not recommended during treatment with this medicine due to the increased risk of severe adverse effects.

Take ZECID 40mg Tablet 10s as instructed by your doctor. It should be taken before food at bedtime. Do not take in larger amounts than prescribed. Take this medicine at the same time every day.
