This medicine is used in the treatment of lower respiratory tract infections including pneumonia (the most common type of lung infection), bronchitis, etc. caused by susceptible strains of methicillin-resistant staphylococci in penicillin-allergic patients, or those patients who failed to respond/cannot receive other medicines or therapies.

Impaired kidney function
