Lincomycin is an antibiotic which is used in the treatment of infections caused by bacteria like streptococci, pneumococci, and staphylococci. It should be used only in cases where other medicines are less effective. It should be used with caution due to the risk of diarrhoea. Close monitoring of liver and kidney function is necessary while receiving this medicine.
