What is it prescribed for?

Tuberculosis
R Cin 100 mg Syrup is used in the treatment of tuberculosis which is a lung infection caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis.

Meningococcal Meningitis
R Cin 100 mg Syrup is used in the treatment of meningococcal meningitis which is an infection that affects the brain and spinal cord caused by Neisseria meningitidis.
When not to use?

Allergy
Not recommended in patients with known allergy to R Cin 100 mg Syrup.

Antiviral medications
Not recommended in patients receiving antiviral therapy due to the decrease in the effect of antiviral medications.

Liver injury
This medicine may cause liver injury, therefore should be used with caution. The liver function tests should be performed before starting the treatment. The dose should be adjusted based on the severity of liver disease.

Diabetes
This medicine may alter the blood glucose levels. Inform the doctor about your medical condition before starting the treatment. Monitoring of blood glucose levels is necessary.

Drug-resistance
Usage of this medicine without sufficient proof or suspicion of a bacterial infection should be avoided. Irrational dosing might fail in providing the benefits and even cause toxicity. It may also increase the risk of development of bacteria that is drug resistant.

If you miss a dose of R Cin 100 mg Syrup, take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it’s almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double your dose to make up for the missed dose.
