Effect on heart
Bextrin tablet 20 mg 20’s can have adverse effects on heart especially after a prolonged duration of use. It could increase the risk of diseases like stroke and heart attack which may be fatal.

Gastro-intestinal bleeding
Bextrin tablet 20 mg 20’s can cause severe bleeding and perforation after prolonged usage. These adverse events may occur with or without warning symptoms. The elderly people are at greater risk to this and require the suitable adjustment in dosage.

Bextrin tablet 20 mg 20’s may increase the risk of kidney dysfunction if taken for a long duration of time. Any symptoms like the change in urine frequency, swelling of limbs should be reported to the doctor.

What happens if I miss a dose of Bextrin tablet 20 mg 20’s?
Adults: 20 mg daily as a single dose, can be increased to 40 mg daily. Elderly, Patients can be given 10 mg (half tab). Children: Not recommended.
