How to use Bonefos Infusion 60 mg/mL 5 Ampx5 mL
Continuous in Glucose 5% or NaCl 0.9%. Dilute 300 mg in 500 mL & give over at least 2 hours or 1.5 gm in 500 mL & give over at least 4 hours.
what are the adverse effects of Bonefos Infusion 60 mg/mL 5 Ampx5 mL?
GI upset, renal dysfunction, asymptomatic hypocalcaemia. Transient proteinuria. Reversible elevations of parathyroid hormone, creatinine, lactate dehydrogenase, transaminase, alkaline phosphatase. Rarely: Skin reactions.
What happens if I miss a dose of Bonefos Infusion 60 mg/mL 5 Ampx5 mL?
ORAL: Adults: 1.6 gm once daily in the morning; max 3.2 gm daily in two divided doses. Doses should be taken =2 hr after and =1 hr before food. Children: Not recommended.
INJECTION: Adults: Initially 300 mg daily by slow IV infusion for up to 7 days. Maintenance use capsules. Children: Not recommended.
