    This medicine is used in the treatment of respiratory tract infections caused by Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella species, Proteus mirabilis, Enterobacter species, Hemophilus or S.pneumoniae.

  • Urinary Tract Infection

    This medicine is used in the treatment of urinary tract infections caused by Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa.

  • Bacterial Septicemia

    This medicine is used in the treatment of bacterial septicemia caused by S.pneumoniae, E.coli, and Klebsiella species.

  • Skin and Skin Structure Infection

    This medicine is used in the treatment of skin and skin structure infections caused by Staphylococcus aureus (penicillinase producing and non-penicillinase producing species) and Pseudomonas aeruginosa.

  • Gynecological infections

  • Drug resistance

    Usage of CEFOPLUS 1gm Injection Per Vial without sufficient proof or suspicion of a bacterial infection should be avoided. Irrational dosing might fail in providing the benefits and may even cause toxicity. It may also increase the risk of development of bacteria that are drug resistant.

    This medicine should be used with caution in patients suffering from any kidney disease. Appropriate dose adjustments are to be made based on CrCl.

  • Hepatic/biliary obstruction

Since this medicine is excreted mainly through bile, a hepatic or biliary obstruction may increase the levels of CEFOPLUS 1gm Injection Per Vial by 2-4 folds. The daily dose should not exceed 4 g for such patients. If a dose of more than 4 g is required, close monitoring of serum concentrations of the medicine and liver function is advised.
