Clostridium difficile-associated Diarrhea
Antibiotic therapy may cause an imbalance in the normal microbial flora in the large intestine which promotes the growth of a bacteria called Clostridium difficile. This may result in severe diarrhea. Report any such incidence to the doctor immediately and discontinue therapy under your doctor's supervision.

Drug-resistance
Usage of Clinda Topical 1.00% T Gel 20 gm without sufficient proof or suspicion of a bacterial infection should be avoided. Irrational dosing might fail in providing the benefits and even cause toxicity. It may also increase the risk of development of bacteria that is drug resistant.

Skin reactions
Clinda Topical 1.00% T Gel 20 gm is known to cause few severe skin reactions like toxic epidermal necrolysis, drug reaction with eosinophilia and systemic symptoms (DRESS), and Stevens-Johnson syndrome (SJS), some with fatal outcome. Discontinue the medicine if these symptoms appear.

Gasping syndrome
Use of Clinda Topical 1.00% T Gel 20 gm injection containing benzyl alcohol may cause the gasping syndrome in the newborns.

Impaired liver function
Use with caution in the patients with the moderate to severe liver injury. Dosing frequency should be modified based on the severity of the liver injury. Frequent monitoring of liver function tests is necessary.
