• Safe with Alchohol?

  Consumption of alcohol during treatment with this medicine may increase the risk of severe side effects. These side effects may include confusion, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, weakness, and fainting. It is advised that you should avoid alcohol and not to perform activities which require high mental alertness like driving a vehicle and operating machinery when taking these medicines together.

• Is it habit forming?

  Habit-forming tendencies were reported in some cases especially if the usage is for an extended period of time. A gradual withdrawal of the drug i.e. decrease in dosing over a period of time is suggested in such cases.

• Usage in pregnancy?

  This medicine is not recommended for use in pregnant women unless absolutely necessary. All the risks and benefits should be discussed with the doctor before taking this medicine.

• Allergy

  This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a known allergy to ERISPAN 0.25mg Tablet 20s or any other inactive ingredients present in the formulation.

• Severe respiratory depression

  This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with severe respiratory depression due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient's condition.

• Psychotic reactions

  This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a known history of psychological disorders due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient's condition.

• Pregnancy

  This medicine is not recommended for use in pregnant women unless absolutely necessary. All the risks and benefits should be discussed with the doctor before taking this medicine.

• Breast-feeding

  This medicine is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women unless absolutely necessary. All the risks and benefits should be discussed with the doctor before taking this medicine. If the medicine is used, the infant should be monitored closely for any adverse effects.

• Concomitant use of opioids

  This medicine should be used with extreme caution due to the increased risk of side effects such as profound sedation, respiratory depression, coma, and death. This risk is especially higher if this medicine is used along with opioids. Close monitoring of the patient for any severe side effects is recommended during treatment with this medicine. Appropriate dose adjustments or replacement with a suitable alternative may be necessary based on the clinical condition of the patient.

• CNS depression

  This medicine should be used with extreme caution due to the increased risk of central nervous system depression. Seek emergency medical treatment in case of any unusual symptoms. Do not stop the use of this medicine without consulting your doctor.

• Withdrawal Syndrome

  This medicine may cause withdrawal syndrome after discontinuation of therapy. This risk is especially higher if the treatment is discontinued abruptly. Seek emergency medical treatment in case of any unusual symptoms such as extreme anxiety, irritability, muscle pain, confusion, restlessness, etc. Do not stop the use of this medicine without consulting your doctor.

• Drug dependency

  This medicine has the potential to cause drug dependence and abuse. This risk is especially higher if the medicine is used for a prolonged period of time. Patients should be monitored closely for any change in mood and behavior during treatment with this medicine.

• Driving or operating machinery

  This medicine may cause dizziness or drowsiness in some patients. It is advised that you do not perform any activities that require high mental alertness like driving a vehicle or operating machinery if you experience any of these symptoms during treatment with this medicine.

Take this medicine exactly as advised by the doctor. Do not take in larger or smaller amounts than advised/prescribed. Drink adequate amount of water to prevent the formation of kidney stones.
