This medicine is used to treat extreme weight loss and muscle wasting in adults and children caused due to severe chronic illnesses such as AIDS and certain forms of cancer.

This medicine is used along with dietary adjustments and nutritional supplementation to treat short bowel syndrome in adults. Short bowel syndrome is a malabsorption disorder caused by a lack of functional small intestine, causing severe diarrhea, malnutrition, and weight loss.

How to use Eutropin Injection 4 IU 1 Vial
Do not shake. Administer SC or IM. Rotate administration site to avoid tissue atrophy. When administering to newborns do not reconstitute with a diluent that contains benzyl alcohol. SWFI may be used as an alternative.
Stability: Store at 2°C-8°C (36°F-46°F). Do not freeze. Protect from light.

Hypothyroidism, transient oedema, headache, glucosuria, hyperglycaemia, muscle pain, weakness, pain at injection site.
What happens if I miss a dose of Eutropin Injection 4 IU 1 Vial?
Children: Growth hormone deficiency: 0.025-0.035 mg/kg body weight daily by SC or IM inj.
Turner syndrome: 0.045-0.50 mg/kg body weight daily by SC Injection in evening.
Renal insufficiency: 0.045-0.050 mg/kg body weight daily by SC Inj.
Prader-Willi syndrome: 0.035 mg/kg daily or 1 mg/m² daily by SC Injection, max 2.7 mg daily. Adults: Initially 0.15-0.3 mg daily by SC Inj. Increase gradually according to individual requirements; max 1 mg daily.
