Exodril capsule 500 mg 12’s is used in the treatment of Tonsilitis/Pharyngitis caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae and Haemophilus influenzae.

what are the adverse effects of Exodril capsule 500 mg 12’s?
Hypersensitivity reactions. Gl disturbances. Pseudomembranous colitis, haemolytic anaemia.
What happens if I miss a dose of Exodril capsule 500 mg 12’s?
Adults: 500 mg-1 gm twice daily or 1 gm once daily or 2 gm daily in two divided doses. Children: Under 1 yr, 25 mg/kg daily in divided doses; 1-6 yr, 250 mg twice daily; over 6 yr, 500 mg twice daily.
Upper Respiratory Infection: Adults: 1 gm once daily or 500 mg twice daily for 10 days. Children: 15 mg/kg every 12 hr or 30 mg/kg daily.
Urinary Tract Infection: Adults: Uncomplicated Lower UTI: 1-2 gm/day given once daily or in two divided dose. Other UTIs: 1 gm twice daily. Children: 15 mg/kg every 12 hr.
Skin Infection: Adults: 1 gm once daily or 500 mg twice daily. Children: 15 mg/kg every 12 hr (or 30 mg/kg once daily for impetigo).
