How it works
ISOPTIN 240mg Tablet SR 10s works by relaxing the blood vessels so the heart does not have to pump as hard. It also increases the supply of blood and oxygen to the heart and slows electrical activity in the heart to control the heart rate.

This medicine is used to reduce high blood pressure levels (hypertension) which may be caused by genetic and/or environmental factors.

This medicine is used for the prevention and treatment of angina pectoris which is a type of heart disease characterized by chest pain or pressure and heaviness in the chest. It may be caused by various factors including emotional stress, smoking, coronary artery disease, etc.

Arrhythmias
This medicine is used alone or with other medicines to prevent and treat arrhythmias (heart rhythm disorders).

Allergy
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a known allergy to ISOPTIN 240mg Tablet SR 10s , other calcium channel blockers, or any other inactive ingredients present along with the formulation.

Cardiogenic shock
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients suffering from a cardiogenic shock due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient’s condition.

Heart block greater than first degree
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with second or third-degree heart block due to the risk of worsening of the patient's condition.

Sick sinus syndrome
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with sick sinus syndrome except in the presence of a functioning ventricular pacemaker.

Neuromuscular transmission diseases
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with neuromuscular transmission diseases like myasthenia gravis or advanced Duchenne muscular dystrophy due to the increased risk of worsening of these conditions. Appropriate dose adjustments or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required based on the clinical condition.

Hypotension
Symptomatic hypotension may occur in patients with volume depletion, aortic stenosis, or patients who are treated with high-dose diuretics. Appropriate corrective measures, dose adjustments, or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required in some cases based on the clinical condition.

Driving or operating machinery
The use of this medicine may cause dizziness, fatigue, weakness, etc. in some patients. It is advised that you do not perform any activities such as driving a vehicle or operating machinery if you experience any of these symptoms.
