Uses of KOHIMAX 50mg Suspension 60ml

What is it prescribed for?

• Acute Pain

  This medicine is used to relieve acute pain associated with sprains, headache, sports injuries, spasmodic pain, dental pain, post-operative and post-partum pain. It may also be used for the treatment of mild to moderate pain associated with conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, gout, etc.

• Dysmenorrhea

  This medicine is used to relieve pain and cramps associated with menstrual cycles.

• Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis

  This medicine is used for the symptomatic relief of juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, a common type of arthritis that causes joint pain and swelling for more than six weeks in children aged 16 or below.

• Pyrexia

  This medicine is used to treat fever in children.

When not to use?

• Other medicines

  This medicine may interact with many other medicines and may cause severe adverse effects. Hence, it is advised that you inform the doctor about all your current medicines including any herbs and supplements before beginning treatment with this medicine.

• Heart diseases

  This medicine should be used with caution in patients with heart diseases due to the increased risk of adverse effects on the heart, especially after prolonged use. Close monitoring of heart function and vital signs, dose adjustments, or replacement with a suitable alternative may be necessary in some cases based on the clinical condition of the patient.

• Driving or operating machinery

  The use of this medicine may cause symptoms such as dizziness, fatigue, visual disturbances, or drowsiness in some patients. It is advised that you do not perform any activities such as driving a vehicle or operating machinery if you experience any of these symptoms.

• Gastrointestinal ulcers or bleeding

  This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a history of gastrointestinal ulcers and bleeding since it may worsen the patient's condition. Replacement with a suitable alternative should be considered under your doctor's supervision.

• Allergic skin reaction

  The use of this medicine can cause a series of allergic skin reactions (Stevens-Johnson syndrome or toxic epidermal necrolysis) in some patients. Therapy should be stopped immediately if signs of a skin allergy are observed.
