    MAXAQUIN 400mg Tablet 5s results from interference with the activity of the bacterial enzymes DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, which are needed for the transcription and replication of bacterial DNA. DNA gyrase appears to be the primary quinolone target for gram-negative bacteria

    What is it prescribed for?

    • Acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis

      This medicine is used in the treatment of acute bacterial exacerbation of chronic bronchitis which is an inflammation of the lining of the bronchial tubes caused by Haemophilus influenzae or Moraxella catarrhalis.

    • Cystitis

      This medicine is used in the treatment of cystitis which is a bladder infection caused by E.coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Enterococci, Klebsiella pneumoniae, etc.

    • Urinary tract infections

      This medicine is used in the treatment of infections of the urinary tract caused by E.coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus, Klebsiella spp, etc.
