How it works
Metorate 0.10% Lotion 20 ml inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis. This is achieved by preventing the final dephosphorylation step in the phospholipid carrier cycle, which interferes with the mucopeptide transfer to the growing cell wall.

what are the adverse effects of Metorate 0.10% Lotion 20 ml?
Burning, itching, irritation, erythema, dryness, folliculitis, hypertrichosis, pruritus, acneiform eruptions, hypo-pigmentation, peri-oral dermatitis, allergic contact dermatitis, numbness of fingers, stinging and cracking/tightening of skin, maceration of the skin, secondary infection, skin atrophy, striae, malaria, telangiectasia, cushingoid changes, adrenal suppression, local skin reactions, acne, folliculitis. Hypersensitivity reactions incl contact dermatitis (discontinue).
What happens if I miss a dose of Metorate 0.10% Lotion 20 ml?
Adults: Apply sparingly once or twice daily for max four wk, then review. Children: Same as adult but review weekly.
