PATHOCIN 125mg|5ml Suspension 60ml is used in the treatment of Tonsilitis/Pharyngitis caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae, Haemophillus influenzae and some fungal infections.

Bronchitis
PATHOCIN 125mg|5ml Suspension 60ml is used in the treatment of Bronchitis which is an inflammation in lungs caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae, and some Mycoplasma pneumoniae.

Pneumonia
PATHOCIN 125mg|5ml Suspension 60ml is used in the treatment of Pneumonia which is a common type of lung infection caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae and Haemophilus influenzae.

Helicobacter pylori Infection
PATHOCIN 125mg|5ml Suspension 60ml is used in the treatment of the infection of the stomach characterized by ulcers. It is caused by helicobacter pylori bacteria.

Allergy
Avoid taking this medicine if you have a known allergy to it or any other macrolides.

Impaired Liver function
PATHOCIN 125mg|5ml Suspension 60ml is not recommended in the patients with the history of any liver injury.

PATHOCIN 125mg|5ml Suspension 60ml is not recommended in the patients with the history of liver injury. Any signs and symptoms of liver injury like elevated liver enzymes and yellow colored eyes and skin should be reported to the doctor. Discontinue the medicine if the symptoms persist.

QT prolongation
PATHOCIN 125mg|5ml Suspension 60ml should be used with caution in the patients receiving QT prolongation medications as it can increase the risk of arrhythmia. Frequent monitoring of heart function is necessary and an alternate medicine should be considered.

Drug-resistance
Usage of PATHOCIN 125mg|5ml Suspension 60ml without sufficient proof or suspicion of a bacterial infection should be avoided. Irrational dosing might fail in providing the benefits and even cause toxicity. It may also increase the risk of development of bacteria that is drug resistant.

Allergy
Avoid taking this medicine if you have a known allergy to PATHOCIN 125mg|5ml Suspension 60ml or other macrolides. Seek immediate medical attention if the patient experiences any allergic symptoms like rashes, itching, nausea, vomiting, swelling of lips, hands, and feet.

Impaired kidney function
PATHOCIN 125mg|5ml Suspension 60ml should be used with caution in the patients with kidney injury. Half of the recommended dose should be administered if the CrCl is less than 30 ml/min.

Missed Dose
The missed dose can be taken as soon as you remember. However, the missed dose should be skipped if it is almost time for your next dose.

Seek emergency medical treatment or contact the doctor in case of an overdose.

Inform your doctor if you have arrhythmia, any heart disease or drugs that prolong QT interval such as psychiatric drugs and anti-arrhythmic drugs.

Avoid taking PATHOCIN 125mg|5ml Suspension 60ml if you experience severe diarrhea, abdominal pain, and blood in stools after taking the medicine. Inform the doctor if you have any gastrointestinal diseases. Drink adequate amount of water to prevent dehydration.
General Instructions
Take PATHOCIN 125mg|5ml Suspension 60ml with or without food. The long-acting tablet should be taken with food. Do not take in larger amounts than advised. Consult the doctor if you experience any undesirable effects. Do not stop taking PATHOCIN 125mg|5ml Suspension 60ml before completion of course.
