How to use Rbc Inj Injection 100 mg 5 Ampx5 mL
Iron sucrose must only be administered IV either by slow injection or by infusion. Hemodialysis dependent-chronic kidney disease: Dose may be administered undiluted by slow IV injection over 2-5 min, or it may be diluted in a maximum of 100 mL NS and administered by IV infusion over a period of atleast 15 min. Non-dialysis dependent-chronic kidney disease: Slowly administer IV injection undiluted over 2-5 min. Peritoneal dialysis dependent-chronic kidney disease: Infuse over 2.5 hours 14 days later. The iron sucrose dose should be diluted in a maximum of 250 mL of NS.
Stability: Store in original carton at 25°C (77°F). Excursions are permitted to 15°-30°C (59°-86°F). Do not freeze. It contains no preservatives.

What happens if I miss a dose of Rbc Inj Injection 100 mg 5 Ampx5 mL?
Inj: A test dose of 1 mL to 2.5 mL in adults; 1 mL in children above 14 kg body wt and half the daily dose (1.5 mg/kg) in children less than 14 kg wt should be given by chosen method of administration. Facilities for cardio-pulmonary resuscitation must be available. If no adverse reaction observed in at least 15 min, the remaining portion of the dose are given.
By IV drip infusion: Adults & Elderly: 10 mL By IV infusion, if the situation demands the single dose may be increased to 0.35 mL iron sucrose/kg body wt (7 mg iron/kg body wt) not exceeding 25 mL diluted in 500 mL 0.9% NaCl infused over at least 3.5 hr, once a wk. Children: 0.35 mL/kg body wt (7 mg/iron/kg body wt) diluted in 0.9% NaCl and infused over at least 3.5 hr, once a wk.
By Injection: By slow injection or directly into the venous limb of the dialyser (Not by IM inj): Adults & Elderly: Two or three times a wk. A single dose of 5-10 mL (100-200 mg) injected in at least 10 min.
