How it works
Rezz Tab 20mg 10s works by interfering with the final step of acid release in the stomach. Thus, acidity in the stomach is decreased and ulcer healing process is fastened.

Rezz Tab 20mg 10s is used in the treatment of severe ulcers caused by chronic acidity.

Rezz Tab 20mg 10s is used in the treatment of a reflux disease where acid from the stomach and bile irritates the food pipe.

Helicobacter pylori Infection
Rezz Tab 20mg 10s is used to treat H.Pylori infection in combination with other drugs.

Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome
Rezz Tab 20mg 10s is used to treat a condition where excessive amount of acid is produced in the stomach due to tumors in the small intestine.

Other forms of Ulcers
Rezz Tab 20mg 10s is used to treat ulcers of stomach (Gastric) and small intestine (Duodenal). It is also used to prevent ulcers caused by stress.
When not to use?

Allergy
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a known allergy to Rezz Tab 20mg 10s or any other drug of the same group, i.e. Benzimidazoles.

Clostridium difficile-associated Diarrhea
Rezz Tab 20mg 10s may be associated with Clostridium difficile-associated Diarrhea and it is recommended to undergo diagnostic tests for the same before taking this medicine.

Lupus
Rezz Tab 20mg 10s may be associated with lupus (systemic and cutaneous). Signs and symptoms like extreme tiredness, painful joints, rashes and lesions on the skin after consuming Rezz Tab 20mg 10s should be reported immediately to the doctor and usage should be discontinued.

Liver disease
Rezz Tab 20mg 10s should be given with suitable dose adjustments for having liver diseases. Any liver condition should be reported to the doctor prior to taking the medicine.

Bone Fractures
Use of high dose of Rezz Tab 20mg 10s for prolonged duration may increase the risk of bone fractures especially in older patients and women. Supplements like Calcium citrate and Vitamin D should be taken after consulting the doctor.

Vitamin B-12 Deficiency
Long-term treatment with Rezz Tab 20mg 10s may decrease the absorption of Vitamin B-12 in the body. Supplements can be taken after consulting the doctor.

Missed Dose
The missed dose should be taken as soon possible. It is advisable to skip the missed dose if it's already time for your next scheduled dose.

what are the adverse effects of Rezz Tab 20mg 10s?
Headache, GI upset, rash, asthaenia, dry mouth.
What happens if I miss a dose of Rezz Tab 20mg 10s?
The dosage should be swallowed before food.
Adults: Duodenal ulcer: 20 mg once daily in the morning for 4-8 wk.
Gastric Ulcer: 20 mg once daily in the morning for 6-12 wk.
GERD: 20 mg once daily in the morning for 4-8 wk. GERD maintenance: 20 mg or 10 mg once daily. Symptomatic GERD: 10 mg once daily for up to 4 wk. Then 10 mg once daily as required.
Zollinger-Ellison syndrome: Initially 60 mg once daily increasing if necessary to 120 mg daily (doses greater than 100 mg may require to be divided into a twice daily regimen). Continue treatment as long as required.
Triple therapy vs H. pylori: Rabeprazole sodium 20 mg with clarithromycin 500 mg and amoxicillin 1 gm all twice daily for 7 days.
Children: Not recommended.
