Gastrointestinal effects
This medicine may increase the gastrointestinal adverse effects if taken with the meal that contains more than 30% total daily calories from fat (more than 67 g of fat).

Impaired kidney function
This medicine may increase the levels of urinary oxalate in patients and may cause nephrolithiasis and oxalate nephropathy with renal failure. It should be used with caution in patients with the history of kidney impairment. Monitoring of kidney function is necessary.

Impaired liver function
This medicine may cause severe liver injury and which sometimes need liver transplantation.Monitoring of liver function parameters is necessary. Any symptoms of dark urine, light-colored stools, decreased appetite should be reported to the doctor.

General Instructions
Take Slimax capsule 120 mg 10’s with the high-fat meal. Do not take this medicine if you skip the meal or if the meal contains no fat. Low-calorie, low-fat diet, and exercise are needed to control weight. Take multivitamins like A, D, E, K at bedtime prevent further complications.

How to use Slimax capsule 120 mg 10’s
Children: Adjunct in obesity: 12-18 yr, 120 mg taken immediately before, during, or up to 1 hr after each main meal, max 120 mg 3 times daily; continue treatment beyond 12 wk only under specialist recommendation. If a meal is missed or contains no fat, the dose of orlistat should be omitted.
what are the adverse effects of Slimax capsule 120 mg 10’s?
Faecal incontinence, oily stools, GI upset, respiratory infection, influenza, headache, menstrual irregularity, anxiety, fatigue UTI. Very rarely, raised liver enzymes, hepatitis, rectal bleeding. Hypoglycaemia and abdominal distension in patients with type II diabetes. Tooth and gingival disorders, hypothyroidism, rectal bleeding, oxalate nephropathy.
What happens if I miss a dose of Slimax capsule 120 mg 10’s?
Adults: 120 mg before, during or up to one hr after each main meal. Discontinue treatment after 12 wk if 5% of initial body weight is not lost. Children: Not recommended.
