URA 400mg Tablet 14s is used in the treatment of Prostatitis (inflammation of the prostate gland that produces semen) caused by Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas, and Enterococcus species.

URA 400mg Tablet 14s is used in the treatment of urinary tract infections like Cystitis caused by E.coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Enterococci and Klebsiella pneumoniae.

Tendinitis and tendon rupture
Use of URA 400mg Tablet 14s will increase the risk to develop tendinitis or tendon rupture during the treatment or several months after treatment. It will affect the shoulder, hand, back of the ankle, or other parts of the body. The risk is more if you are above 60 years of age and have a history of kidney, heart, or lung transplant or any joint disease. You are also at high risk if you are on corticosteroids like dexamethasone, methylprednisolone or prednisone.

Drug-resistance
Usage of URA 400mg Tablet 14s without sufficient proof or suspicion of a bacterial infection should be avoided. Irrational dosing might fail in providing the benefits and even cause toxicity. It may also increase the risk of development of bacteria that is drug resistant.

Pediatric use
The safety and effectiveness of URA 400mg Tablet 14s have not been established in children and adolescents less than 18 years of age.

Impaired liver function
URA 400mg Tablet 14s should be used with caution in the patients with the history of liver injury due to the increase in the risk of liver enzymes.

If you suffer from CNS disorder and you take URA 400mg Tablet 14s , then you may experience tremors, restlessness, anxiety, confusion and hallucinations. Avoid consuming caffeine-containing products like coffee, chocolates and energy drinks.

Avoid using URA 400mg Tablet 14s if you experience any chest discomfort. Regular cardiac function tests are to be performed if you have any heart disease (arrhythmia) or family history of heart disease.

Avoid taking URA 400mg Tablet 14s if you experience severe diarrhea, abdominal pain, and blood in stools after taking the medicine. Inform the doctor if you have any gastrointestinal diseases. Drink adequate amount of water to prevent dehydration.

The desired effect of URA 400mg Tablet 14s is not observed if consumed with dairy products. There should be at least 2 hours gap between taking URA 400mg Tablet 14s and dairy products.
General Instructions
Take URA 400mg Tablet 14s one hour before or two hours after the food. Do not take in larger amounts than advised. Consult the doctor if you experience any undesirable effects. Do not stop taking URA 400mg Tablet 14s before completion of course.
