GI upset. Headache, dizziness, tinnitus, paraesthesia, asthaenia, malaise, allergic reactions. Raised liver enzymes, blood urea and creatinine. Pseudomembranous colitis. Positive Coomb’s test.
What happens if I miss a dose of Vantin tablet 100 mg 10’s?
Lower Respiratory Infection: Adults & Children: gt;12 yr: 200 mg every 12 hr for 10-14 days.
Otitis Media: Children: 2 mth-11 yr: 5 mg/kg every 12 hr for 5 days.
Upper Respiratory Infection: Pharyngitis/Tonsillitis: Adults & Children: gt;12 yr: 100 mg every 12 hr for 5-10 days. 2 mth-11 yr: 5 mg/kg every 12 hr for 5-10 days.
Sinusitis: Adults & Children: 12 yr: 200 mg every 12 hr for 10 days. 2 mth-11 yr: 5 mg/kg every 12 hr for 10 days.
Skin Infection: Adults & Children: gt;12 yr: 400 mg every 12 hr for 7-14 days.
Urinary Tract Infection: Adults & Children: gt;12 yr: Uncomplicated UTI: 100 mg every 12 hr for 7 days.
