How to use Atarax tablet 10 mg 50’s
Administered undiluted by IM injection only, preferably into the upper outer quadrant of the buttock or the mid-lateral muscles of the thigh in adults. In children, the mid-lateral muscles of the thigh are preferred.
Stability: Stored at controlled room temperature and protect from light and freezing and excessive temperatures.
What happens if I miss a dose of Atarax tablet 10 mg 50’s?
Adults: ORAL: Antihistamine: 25 mg 3-4 times daily.
Anxiety: 50-100 mg four times daily.
Adults: INJECTION: Adjust dose based on patients response. Pre-operative Sedation/Antiemetic: IM: 25-100 mg.
Children: ORAL: Antihistamine: gt; 6 yr: 50-100 mg/day in divided doses. lt;6 yr: 50 mg/day in divided doses.
Pruritus: 6 mth-6 yr, initially 5-15 mg at night, increased if necessary to 50 mg daily in 3-4 divided doses; 6-12 yr, initially 15-25 mg at night, increased if necessary to 50-100 mg daily in 3-4 divided doses; 12-18 yr, initially 25 mg at night, increased if necessary to 100 mg in 3-4 divided doses.
Anxiety: Below 6 yr, 50 mg/day in divided doses; above 6 yr, 50-100 mg/day in divided doses.
Children: INJECTION: Adjust dose based on patients response, Pre-operative Sedation/Antiemetic: IM: 1.1 mg/kg/dose.
