Regelan Injection 10 mg 10 Ampx2 mL is used to treat nausea and vomiting associated with the use of chemotherapy medicines for the treatment of cancer.

Regelan Injection 10 mg 10 Ampx2 mL is used in the treatment of Gastroparesis since it increases the gastric emptying and prevents nausea and vomiting.

This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a known history of seizures.

Pheochromocytoma
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with conditions like pheochromocytoma due to an increase in the risk of hypertensive crisis (very severe increase in the blood pressure).

Neuroleptic Malignant Syndrome (NMS)
Regelan Injection 10 mg 10 Ampx2 mL is known to cause Neuroleptic Malignant Syndrome which is characterized by hyperthermia (fever), muscle rigidity, and altered consciousness. Report to the doctor immediately if these symptoms appear. Discontinue Regelan Injection 10 mg 10 Ampx2 mL treatment if the symptoms persist.

Depression
Regelan Injection 10 mg 10 Ampx2 mL may cause depression in patients with or without the prior history of depression. Any symptoms of change in behavior or suicidal thoughts should be informed to the doctor on priority. Discontinue the treatment if the symptoms worsen.

Missed Dose
The missed dose can be taken as soon as you remember. However, the missed dose should be skipped if it is almost the time for the next dose.

General Instructions
Take Regelan Injection 10 mg 10 Ampx2 mL as advised by the doctor. Do not take this medicine if you have gastrointestinal disorders like mechanical bowel obstruction, bowel perforation, or gastrointestinal hemorrhage. Monitoring of blood pressure and symptoms like involuntary movements of the tongue, lips, face, and trunk is necessary while consuming this medicine.

How to use Regelan Injection 10 mg 10 Ampx2 mL
Injection solution may be given IM, direct IV push, short infusion (15-30 min), or continuous infusion; lower doses (=10 mg) of metoclopramide can be given IV push undiluted over 1-2 min; higher doses to be given IVPB over at least 15 min.
Reconstitution: For IV use, doses lt;10 mg do not need dilution. For doses gt;10 mg, dilute in 50 mL 0.9%NS, 0.45% NS, D5W, or lactated Ringer’s solution.
Compatibility: Stable in D5 1/2 NS, LR, NS, mannitol 20%.
Stability: Store at 20°C-25°C (68°F-77°F). Store vials in carton until use. Do not store open single-dose vials for later use, as they contain no preservative. This product is light sensitive. It should be inspected before use and discarded if either colour or particulate is observed. Dilutions may be stored unprotected from light under normal light conditions up to 24 hours after preparation.

Extrapyramidal reactions, neuroleptic malignant syndrome. Raised serum prolactin leading to galactorrhoea, irregular periods and gynaecomastia. Drowsiness, diarrhoea, rash, dizziness, tremor, agitation.
What happens if I miss a dose of Regelan Injection 10 mg 10 Ampx2 mL?
Adults: 20 yr and over: 10 mg three times daily orally, IM or IV. Usual max 0.5 mg/kg body-wt daily.
Children: Second-line option for treatment of established postoperative nausea and vomiting and prevention of delayed chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting: ORAL or IM injection, or IV injection over at least 3 minutes: 1-18 yr, 100-150 mcg/kg up to 3 times daily.
